No its not Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie, but rather Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are the worlds most famous couple with over 5 billion fans around the globe.  This Bollywood (India’s version of Hollywood) couple appeared today on the Oprah Winfrey show for the first time doing an interview together in the USA.

Both were famous before they were married in 2007.  Aishwarya Rai was crowned Miss World in 1994, and has been called the “Most Beautiful Person in the World.”  She has now become one of India’s top actresses starring in over 40 movies and earns more than $15 million per film.  She has also was one of the first indian celebrities to use twitter and actually posted about her upcoming interview on Oprah.

Abhishek Bachchan was born into Bollywood royalty.  His father Amitabh Bachchan was India’s top movie star for much of the last thirty years.  Abhishek followed in his fathers footsteps and has become a movie star himself and has starred in more than 40 films.

The couple lives at home with Abhishek’s parents and still has a family meal once day when everyone is in town.
