The American Idol whose 9th season is gearing up to go sets in the month of January 2010 has its previous season’s judge Kara DioGuardi confirm to return again to Idol, according to reliable sources.

In the last season, this Grammy-nominated songwriter, singer, music producer and TV personality shared seat with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. Reports say that she has enjoyed her season 8 thoroughly and has signed on the contract for the American Idol 9th season as well.

But, there were reports that the controversial fourth judge had some rough patch during her season 8 when she had few clashes with Simon Cowell. But, Simon Fuller, the creator and executive producer of the reality show is in all praises for Kara as he considers her as a breath of fresh air that is passionate about music.

Simon Fuller further went about saying that this reality show is all about talent hunt, and he believes that Kara DioGuardi’s analyses, thoughts and understanding about talent is quite invaluable. Spotting of Adam Lambert and his quality is a testimonial for Kara DioGuardi’s positive impact on talent hunt.

Now, the next big question on this talent-hunt competition is about Paula Abdul’s involvement as a panelist. Paula Abdul has been on the judging panel of American Idol since 2002 and if she is not signed for this season, then its really going to be a mammoth change in this popularity show. Recent reports suggest that Paula had some problems with the producers of American Idol. Paula Abdul’s manager David Sonenberg said that producers were rude and insulting to Paula in the last season.

On the other hand Dio Guardi has already sealed her entry into the American Idol much before this Abdul controversy exploded.
