Obama Makes Cameo on George Lopez Talk Show
Stand-up comedian George Lopez is coming up with a talk show named “Lopez Tonight” and the show is going to be aired on TBS at 11pm from Monday through Thursday. The late night show will be premiered November this year.
Musical celebrities and actors will be the guests of the talk show hosted by Lopez. And Lopez wants to create an informal party atmosphere on his show to keep his guests and audience easy and rather on high spirits. The talk show is already making news and has already gotten the hype factor which will help to promote the show- Now is that all? No there will not be spice if I don’t tell that President Barack Obama has made a brief appearance on the show.
The clip was revealed in a meeting of Television Critics Association in which Lopez on a lighthearted note begs the President to offer him a berth in his cabinet and in reply the President says that Lopez will have to change late night and he believes in only such a change.
George Lopez is hopeful that the President will appear as a guest on his show. Lopez has reportedly told that Obama is his close friend and he will be offended in case the President cannot make it to his talk show when he is LA the next time around. Lopez had worked on the President’s campaign to gain Latino vote and he said that he never imagined that 38 votes could make such a difference. The campaign work led to his friendship with Obama and he is hoping that the President will drop by on his talk show.
Lopez is not greatly concerned about the competition from other shows that are aired at around the same time, as he feels that his list of guests include comedians, eminent actors and the show will feature musical acts that are not a part of other late night shows.
