Whitney Houston has returned to the world of music where she actually belongs. The pop singer has made a come back with her new album after long break of seven years.

Houston’s album I Look At You is the first album after a tabloid misadventure and her troublesome marriage to singer Bobby Brown. The executives in the music industry are going bonkers to release Houston’s studio album, which they are expecting to be a great commercial success. Houston’s album I Look At You has reunited the pop star to her executive producer & mentor Clive Davis who is close to the star since the 80’s when she had achieved instant stardom.

Houston’s album has a few tracks that depict the singer’s dark personal life. And of course will certainly miss the Houston of the 80’s. The tracks in the album seldom give an insight in to the singer’s heart or mind as of today. The singer has sold 170 million copies of her albums, single tracks and video albums in her entire career. In spite of having great successful career Houston has not produced a single album, which is soulful and her well-trained voice was taken over by hollow songs. Houston took to drugs and a bad marriage almost put an end to her career until a couple of years ago when Davis compelled her to make a come back with I Look At You.

The tracks reflect her troubled life especially Nothing but love and Every Road I’ve taken/led to my regret. Her voice has gone through a tremendous transition and it has certainly lost originality. Million Dollar Bill and a duet Like I never felt are two tracks from the album that sound light when compared to other songs. The ending song in the album Salute portrays her as a soldier girl, nevertheless Houston’s fans cannot have glimpse into her inner thoughts and struggles.
